While it was well read its one of kings weaker books in my opinion. Really long and sometime pointless parts

It is a story within a story, which features both the younger and older gunslinger Roland on his quest to find the Dark Tower.

A nice little extra for the lovers of the dark tower. Steven stumbles a little at the start but makes the rest of the book feel almost like frank was reading it
