Great fun. Brimming with humour and very educational. Fry’s narration is sublime. The stories told are fascinating and intriguing. Those Ancient Greeks were rather fascinating

The prequel to Trainspotting it was like welcoming back old compadres though not Ito the house of course! Crude, rude and at times exhilarating not quite Trainspotting but Tam Dean Burn's authentic and passionate narration was a delight!

Mailer’s first novel is epic moving fabulous and yet depressing. Read by his son how does an excellent job, the author weaves a tale that brilliantly emphasises the futility and horror of war but more than that exposes the human cost painfully and honestly.
