Guy Haley thoroughly enjoys framing stories to explore the past of these characters and uses it here again to great effect.

The immediate story is interesting and relevant but it's the past of Belisarius that is revealed throughout that's a real treat to hear.

Highly recommended.

It can get a bit repetitive to always have a rather limited perspective of the 40k universe. Books like this are a welcome change. We're shown a fascinating closer look at the internal thoughts and machinations of chaos space marines, specifically the followers of Nurgle the disease god.

Highly recommended.

A great look into the mind of Konrad Curze.

A macabre and dark look into the nature of fate through the lens of Konrad Curze, the night haunters ability to catch glimpses of the future.

With an exceptional framing device that brings the story to life. Very cleverly used.

Well recommended.

All the intrigue and warpcraft you'd expect from a plot involving Navigators. And about time too, there's a lot of potential from them that Mike Brooks does a great job of exploring.

Highly recommended.
