First came the days of the plague. Then came the dreams. Dark dreams that warned of the coming of the dark man. The apostate of death, his worn-down boot heels tramping the night roads. The warlord of the charnel house and Prince of Evil. His time is at hand. His empire grows in the west and the Apocalypse looms. For hundreds of thousands of fans who read The Stand in its original version and wanted more, this new edition is Stephen King's gift.

Stephen King has done it again.
Able to take you on a 40 plus hour journey where you enjoy every second.

The way you get to know and be a part of every character good and bad helped you feel more of an emotional attachment for the book and outcome of all.

The narrator is incredible. The voice and personality he brought to each of the characters that you quickly identify from memory brings a big part to this journey.

I will definitely reread in the future and highly recommend.

Paulo Coelho's enchanting novel has inspired a devoted following around the world. This story, dazzling in its simplicity and wisdom, is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of treasure buried in the Pyramids. Along the way he meets a Gypsy woman, a man who calls himself king, and an Alchemist, all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest.

This book had me gripped from the get go. I have no idea why it had taken me so long to pick this up but I am so glad I finally did.
The story was so magical and motivating it has most definitely encouraged me to find and follow my dream.

Jeremy Irons made this story so much more epic with his narratation and I felt like I was there on this adventure.

I loved how Stephanie picked herself up even when she had nothing, not to mention how close her and her family were.
Morelli was a great character whom redeemed himself for his past self.
I highly recommend.

Sophie Kinsella's debut is a romp through the perils of shopping and spending, spending, spending! Becky can't resist a sale, and she's only a little overdrawn on her VISA. Readers will laugh aloud at Becky's retail adventures as she finds new and creative ways to relieve her increasingly credit card debt. Emily Gray's narration bounces along with Becky and her buying whims, while delivering a humorous account of what happens when credit goes bad.

This was a reread for the millionth time but first time on audiobook and Emily Gray was fantastic. You really felt the book along with her.
Such a great and different experience and also great to listen to whilst driving to and from work :)
Can't wait to continue the series on audiobooks.
