Every character felt unique and each their own real individual, gripping tightly as each intense moment could have been anyone's last.
The reading was outstanding, bringing each character to life, not one moment did I think the tone was off.

Every interaction Garro has with not only his fellow Battle Brothers but the normal human characters really shows the depth a Space Marine can have, how they are not simple killing machines. Outstanding writing/performance make FoTE a must read for anyone involved with the 40K hobby.

Vulkan' constant torture at the hands of his brother brings their relationship down to an almost too human level, making it both heart breaking and intense. And the performance from the narrator was breathtaking to say the least.

Every character, every scene, every moment I was lost in the story of this book. From the small personal moments of the Space Marines to the grand speeches of the Primarch himself. Even the grotesquely inimate details of the Plague Marines. Loved from start to finish.
