Must say l am not at all sure why the rave about this book.

Having grown up in rural Vic l could relate to the "incestuous" relationships and local going ons but really - l cannot recommend this book.

Not sure what all the hype is about this reader at all?
His voice may be good for TV and Movies but as l have no TV and don't do movies l have no idea, but books are complex with many layers and intrigues to my ears he captures nothing of that at all.
For whatever the reason l was almost unable to complete the book.
l would suggest you borrow the book to make your iwn determination

2. - This outing was disjointed and did not flow
3. - l suspect the storey line could work but the above issues added to the failure
4. - l gave up on "fairy tale " endings when 8

l am an avid reader of fictional crime stories - but this one l have only been able to skip across due to its cruelty, and sadistic violence leaving me with the view that author's are currently trying to to invent the most brutal crime story to out do other authors - this book falls into this category 100% - do not waste you time or money on this one.

Think carefully and read all the reviews.

l am an addict when it comes to crime fiction and particularly when the leading Police Detective is a female, but and yes there is a but - l am increasingly finding l am distracted from the story by the overwhelming ego centric narsassism of the female leading character and this bitch is no different.

The conflict between career and excelling in your job as a woman is not a new issue but the absolutely abusive behaviour towards this child by her mother is appalling and in no way is a role model worthy of any praise.

Do not bother spending a cent on this book.

Not at all sure about Audio Book 3 in this series

l have listened to the fisrt 2 books in this series and found them quite fascinating as l have not really considered people's viciousness when it comes to behaviours. l have also found it interesting to hear about the effort required to start your life again and simply live each day seeing how tenuous it really is in the context of these books.

Those Audio books were read by one person. The reader has what l would call a 'flat voice' but it for me it suited the content and did not distract from the themes running through the books.

Coming to Book 3 - which l have not been able to hear all of it as we have different readers for different characters. l hate this.

l have been totally unable to focus on the development of the 2 children and the lead woman herself.

It is a book NOT A BLOODY PLAY.

l have noticed the increase in audio books doing this - l suppose the money makers see it a new gimmick to make money or whatever, but l find it totally distracting and irritatingly disappointing.

l cannot recommend this Audio Book.

This book is not worth reading/listening to.

This book is appalling to say the least. l am unable to listen as the leading character is a narcissist beyond belief. She is a self focused indulgent prat of a woman who has no reguard for other people with her organisation.

The plot if there is one is slim.

l have ended up skipping through this book but l ended up not being able to do that either and have not finished it.
