I've long been a fan of David Mitchell and have read all of his books. His rants and humorous observations are masterful and gave me plenty of laughs. I had no trouble finishing the book, the time flies by and I'm saddened its finished. If Im critical on one aspect of the book it's his constant attacks on Brexit and Trump these subjects pop up continuously throughout the book and they made me smile a few times early on but they started getting repetitive and he gets so worked up and serious everytime he brings them up, it just kills the vibe as they go from humorous jibe to sounding more like a shouty millennial university activist. I know it now sounds like I hate David but I don't, overall I throughly enjoyed the book and I look forward to his next one.

David Mitchell presents some of his most entertaining columns written in past years. Due to the time of the books book's release and the publishing on Audible Mr Mitchell has added updated commentary on certain stories, As well as the obligatory Trump and Brexit rants besides that he is still a excellent storyteller and I look forward to his next book.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, tells the tale of an assortment of Victorians some well known others less so. I enjoyed hearing about the lives of some of the lesser known characters and the important things they did. Mr Rees-Mogg writes about these people from a very victorian view point and tries not to get bogged down trying to defend them from the impossible standards of modern day. I enjoyed this book and didnt have trouble finishing. I have seen a lot of negative reviews of this book but now that I've read it I believe many are more politically motivated.

very interesting book about how man was able to build a complex society by creating languages, writing systems and domesticating plants and animals to reach that goal. fairly well paced but I admit not all chapters interested me.
