Elizabeth Gilbert’s first novel in twelve years is an extraordinary story of botany, exploration and desire, spanning across much of the 19th century. This audiobook follows the fortunes of the brilliant Alma Whittaker (daughter of a bold and charismatic botanical explorer) as she comes into her own within the world of plants and science. As Alma’s careful studies of moss take her deeper into the mysteries of evolution, the man she loves draws her in the opposite direction into the realm of the spiritual, the divine and the magical.

Most parenting books focus on changing a child's behaviour, but the truth is that children only change when their relationship with their parents changes. In Calm Parents, Happy Kids, Dr Laura Markham introduces an approach to parenting that eliminates threats, power struggles and manipulation, in favour of setting limits with empathy and communication.

I might be bias because I love running but this book inspired me and my partner to travel all the way to Urique and run what has now become the Caballo Blanco Ultra and it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. This is not a stort about running.. it's a story of adventure, compassion, having a dream and being brave enough to chase it. born to run has inspired so many people I know and I'd really recommend this audio version.. the narration is simply perfect, Fred Sanders makes listening to this book even more pleasurable than reading it!

I loved this book - some very interesting insights on how we can use play to establish a deeper connection with our children. Great tips for parents but I would also recommend this book to educators and anyone working with kids.
