It’s a delightful continuation to The Rose Project

When I got The Rose Project for free back then on an audible promotion, I did not give it a chance after reading the summary. It looked silly and not worth my time. Then I was “cleaning” my library and listened to it. It was fun and impossible not to connect and cheer for the characters.

The Rosie Effect I purchased, and the author did it again. What a lovely story, again easy to connect to the characters and their ups and downs. Can’t wait to read The Rosie Result, already sad that it will mean the end of this great series.

An eternal classic

It’s a delightful story. To fully enjoy it, you must put yourself back to those days when electricity was something brand new and still not widely available. Now we still dream the same adventurous dreams, but aiming to the stars.

There is nothing new there. I read a couple of books with the same plot. I wasted 7 hours of my life listening to this. At least the person reading the book did a great job.

It was great to listen, easy and delightful, great to pass the time, but there is nothing new there. I heard a handful of books with similar plots last year. This become famous because on the author’s reputation. If it were written by someone else, I doubt it would be on any top ten list at all.

Pope Benedictus XVI makes a fantastic explanation of Christ Our Lord in a very accessible way. His explanations and remarks are great. I hope Audible gets more of his books available.

Yes, compared to the Mars Trilogy, this feels like soap opera, but that did not make it less fun to read. It’s a sci-fi thriller with somewhat shallow characters. The fact that Will Wheaton was narrating it had a charm of its own as he was Wesley Crusher at StarTrek TNG.

“It’s presented for education and entertainment purposes”. I really tried to give it a go, and in the three, four initial cases it was ok, but then it becomes horrible. Hopefully I’ll update this with some of my notes, because I heard stuff there that would be at least unprofessional if she had any professional qualification. She is good doing the talking, but that’s all.

Good in general. It could be a little shorter. Sometimes it became too stretched. I’ll give it a go on another book from this author. The narration was ok, no more.

This book a complete waste of time. The author keeps coming back to the same point, repeating himself ad nauseam and to be honest, it seems to me that while he wants to sell the WHY idea, his examples are so weak that the WHAT seems the only logical explanation for the companies that he used as an example. From the airline example to Apple and Disney's, he made a lot of rhetorical tricks to try to sustain his ideas. Don't waste your time and money on this one.

This was my very first Agatha Christie book when I was 16 years old. I found the work Audible did recording this one was marvellous.
