Don't know if the story is good because I couldn't bear to carry on. The writing is not at all good, yes very descriptive which is fine but the descriptions are repetitive and badly in need of a good editor. Sentences that say something like over the lake there is something hanging above the lake are just far too frequent and therefore very irritating. And it's weirdly full of onomatopoeia which makes it read like a comic, we know guns go bang you don't have to say it!
The narrator is terrible too, it feels rushed but I think that is the writing style. However he has an odd breathy voice that makes it sound like he is reading a bodice ripper, whilst describing gun battles. His characters are hard to distinguish as well.
I returned it.

Worst narrator I've heard on Audible

The story is OK, but not great. The narration is atrocious, Dick van Dyke quality of European accents. Made it absolutely unlistenable. So bad I returned it.
