As a digital marketer, are you marketing banner ads or building brands? Do you even know what a brand decision tree or a category ladder is? Probably not. Well, it's not your fault. You most likely grew up inside of a digital marketing environment. You had no brand mentor. However, your future career success depends on your ability to grow from being a digital marketer to becoming a brand expert. I was mistaken on branding. I knew the school of thought presented in this book, but disagreed with it as I saw product to be the driving force and basically what the brand is. However, about 2 hours in I let go of my sceptical attitude and listened carefully. this book has changed my mind and made everything much clearer. We'll produced too with good audio.

A manifesto of business practices for those who sell ideas and advice, The Win Without Pitching Manifesto lays out 12 steps - in the form of proclamations - that owners of creative businesses can take to distance themselves from their competition, regain the high ground in their client relationships and learn to win business without first parting with their thinking or writing lengthy proposals. i couldn't finish it. I've listened to 8 books about sales, and this one, while in essence correct, many of the "scrips" or objection handling lines are just too generic, overused and costumers know it. Some of these technics could even lose you deals. the quality wasn't great and personally I found it hard to listen to the accent...
Overall, a good book for a beginner, but I think most of this material is covered in books that are 6 hours long and on top of that, are recent.

Story
Once upon a time, brick-and-mortar video stores were king. Late fees were ubiquitous, video streaming unheard of, and widespread DVD adoption seemed about as imminent as flying cars. These were the widely accepted laws of the land in 1997, when Marc Randolph had an idea. It was a simple thought - leveraging the internet to rent movies - and was just one of many more proposals, like personalised baseball bats and a shampoo delivery service, that Randolph would pitch to his business partner, Reed Hastings, on their commute to work each morning.
