Human laws do not apply in the territory controlled by the Others - vampires, shape-shifters, and paranormal beings even more deadly. And this is a fact that humans should never, ever forget.... After her divorce, Vicki DeVine took over a rustic resort near Lake Silence - in a human town that is not human controlled. Towns like Vicki's have no distance from the Others, the dominant predators that rule most of the land and all of the water throughout the world. And when a place has no boundaries, you never really know what's out there watching you.

Great voice to listen to. The story was good, just like the other books. A very good and tidy ending to the story. I liked the characters of the Others especially those that live in the lake. It really helped to have listened to the previous books for the back story. I am looking forward to more books. The story was similar but not a repeat of the other books.

Vampires and daemons don't interest her as much as humans do... However, when she has to serve a summons on a dodgy daemon called Devlin O'Shea and she ends up saving his life instead of being framed for his murder, her life takes a shocking turn for the worse.

Random House presents the audiobook edition of The Visitor by Lee Child, read by Jeff Harding. Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cooke have a lot in common. Both were army highflyers. Both were acquainted with Jack Reacher. Both were forced to resign from the service. Now they're both dead. Found in their own homes, naked, in a bath full of paint. Apparent victims of an army man. A loner, a smart guy with a score to settle, a ruthless vigilante. A man just like Jack Reacher.

Great narrater. I have enjoyed listening to her voice in other books as well. I really enjoyed the story. It seemed like a cross between Hive Trilogy and The Lazy Girls Guide to Magic series. No slow parts. Plenty of funny parts. More violence in the second book than the first. In both the first and second book there are the hot guys but more funny than too mushy romantic. I can’t wait for more books.
