Such a treat to listen to another book in the Rivers of London series. Ben Aaronovitch is a gifted story teller. His Nightingale and Peter Grant are so believable - which is something for high fantasy full of ghosts in jars and spirits in machines. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is the ONLY narrator able to voice all these marvellous characters. What a gem he is. So - be told gentle readers - this book - and the others in the series - will transport you to another world which is infinitely scarier but altogether better than the one you now inhabit ...

Wonderfully upper-crustie with bounders and bricks and the spiffing adventures of a Mitfordesque precocious character. The author captures the class vibrations without missing a beat. Top stuff!!!
