My favorite so far, mainly due to the ongoing story stream of the main characters and where that is leading for future books. The main story was excellent as always. Really looking forward to the next installment.

Enjoyed the story. Narration was good but disappointed by the music between chapters being so loud it masked the start of the following chapters.

Joy Ellis has delivered the goods yet again, weaving intrigue from start to finish. I could hardly put it down. The characters have become old friends and thoroughly enjoying their development as I progress through the series. As always, a pleasure listening to Richard Armitage

This book has characters that come to life and unfold with skilful mystery and menace. A tapestry of human emotions and faults bound up in Creole culture and voodoo intrigue. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Usually I have no trouble working out who the perpetrator is but this book kept me in suspense throughout the entire book. Strong characters, brilliantly written and read. Totally recommend.

I already admired Michelle, now even more so.

Michelle Obama shows herself to be a lady with deep moral integrity, strong values and not only a profound love for her family but also for humanity. Her passion for justice and equality and her dealings with people everywhere are truly inspirational. She is an amazing role model to all woman. I had no idea what life was really like as the First Lady and President of the United States before reading her book. This glimpse into their lives shows the magnitude of the fortitude required to make it through. They have my total respect. This was a wonderful and emotive book made more so by the fact that Michelle read it personally.
