Story
It was supposed to be easy. Thursday would share her husband, Seth, with his other two wives, Monday and Tuesday - two women she’s never met and knows nothing about. No questions asked, no hurt feelings. And for a while, the arrangement works...until Thursday finds a scrap of paper with a name - Monday’s real name - and an address. Now Thursday can’t stop herself. She wants to know more about this woman: who she is, what she’s like...what Seth sees in her that Thursday doesn’t have.

Story
In this poignant audio piece, Samantha Allen takes listeners along for the wild ride of her own transition: The good, the bad, but mostly, the funny. Because once she began this life-changing journey in earnest, Samantha realized that while the emotional trials of gender dysphoria and self-discovery could be harrowing, there were so many laugh-out-loud moments along this winding road.

Wonderful explanation of what it feels like to be the wrong gender. Everyone should read this book and it opened my mind to why a beautiful post op lady I knew decided to end it all even after all the pain of becoming who she was meant to be. If nothing else was taken from this story that would have been enough but I laughed, I cried but most of all I loved.

Story
Anna Kendrick's autobiographical collection of essays amusingly recounts memorable moments throughout her life, from her middle-class upbringing in New England to the blockbuster movies that have made her one of Hollywood's most popular actresses today. Expanding upon the witty and ironic dispatches for which she is known, Anna Kendrick's essays offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she's experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture.

This is one of my favourite books and I enjoyed listening to it on Audible as much as I did reading it the first time. Really great narration and for such a long story nothing got lost by not actually holding at the book in my hand.

Story
The Tattooist of Auschwitz is based on the true story of Lale and Gita Sokolov, two Slovakian Jews who survived Auschwitz and eventually made their home in Australia. In that terrible place, Lale was given the job of tattooing the prisoners marked for survival - literally scratching numbers into his fellow victims' arms in indelible ink to create what would become one of the most potent symbols of the Holocaust.

A heartbreaking journey this special book takes you on. I leaned so much more about the brave people who endured the brutality off not only their captors but the place itself. This book left me feeling. Everyone alive should read this story of not only the main players but that off a generation of people who thankfully not erased from history. Thank you thank you thankyou. I'm better for knowing this story. X
