Story
Exclusive to Audible! Listen to a discussion between the author and the narrator of The Widow at the end of this recording. We've all seen him: the man - the monster - staring from the front page of every newspaper, accused of a terrible crime. But what about her: the woman who grips his arm on the courtroom stairs - the wife who stands by him? Jean Taylor's life was blissfully ordinary. Nice house, nice husband. Glen was all she'd ever wanted: her Prince Charming.

& in just the right places. Absolutely loved the characters and the narrator - Wow! She did a brilliant job bringing the characters to life with what seems like such little effort. And I totally loved the little Easter egg at the end where the author and narrator interviewed each other. I’ve always wondered how they prepare a read and it was really interesting to hear the construction of this product from both sides.

I loved this series. Great character and RC Bray is my new favourite. The Captain - right up there with Wilson - you turned him into an awesome character. And dont get me started on the bad guys - they'd leave Neegan shaking in his boots. Certainly won't be disappointed if the series continues. Loved the prequels.

A step away from what I normally listen to but thoroughly enjoyed. Not the most thrilling thriller but very clever writing and the performance was second to none. Totally brought the story to life. Pacing, character voices - well done you. Kept me listening and I'm about to download another.

One of my favourite movies so have been looking at the Audiobook for a long time tossing up. Some of the comments about the tech/science put me off a little. Much easier to handle following the movie, so don't be put off. The book is a terrific listen and WW did a fantastic job with the narration. They didn't have to stray far from the novel to make the movie which shows just what a great piece of writing it is. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Story
What started as a flu outbreak on a military base proves deadlier than Ebola. Sympatico Syndrome is unlike anything the world has ever seen. Victims' behavior is changing to accommodate the rapid spread of the virus. Former Navy epidemiologist Cole Evans is well aware of the rare, infectious diseases the military studies. He also knows the government's stance on sharing information with the public, so if the media has already learned about the disease, then it's too late to contain the outbreak.

Read this story on the kindle and (under the current circumstances) thought it a worthwhile listen while gardening in isolation. Loved it just as much. It isn't all doom and gloom. A little prepping which is fun and less of the far fetched. The characters are worth investing in. Was a little weird going from the kindle and the voices in my head to the narrator but a couple of chapters and all was well. Only let down is that the rest in the series weren't recorded. Lots more weeds to pull and more isolation ahead me thinks!

Story
For the first time since his divorce, CJ will be able to take his son on a vacation. Along with his father, they make it a guys’ trip to the west coast. Little do they know their trip that is intended to be a lifetime of memories would include facing insurmountable odds. The lack of warning leaves everyone in the dark about what has occurred and vulnerable to all that unfolds. It doesn’t stop with the meteors. The disastrous events come one after another, a domino effect of annihilation.

Worthwhile Listen
Reviewed: 26-03-2020
Storyline kept me interested but the narrator was a bit hard to listen to. Thought maybe it was the initial character but then they were all the same. He has great intonation but it sounds like every character has OD'd on caffeine. The pacing maybe suited one or two given the circumstances but I probably would have pulled out the plugs if it wasn't for the storyline. The characters were worth investing in and I guess by the end you were used to it. I know CA and KP cant read everything but for me personally I wouldn't have persevered if the story and the characters weren't as engaging.

Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

First time I thought Uh Oh.
Reviewed: 11-02-2020
A little slow in the first 40mins setting it up and I thought I would put it down and then bang. Game on. If I ended up in the apocalypse tomorrow and suddenly had to get it together this would be my go to. Enough honest prep for the regular folk that dont have hordes of beans and rice under the house. Enough reality so that the characters were real. Real people died. Real people survived. Surprised but one of my favourite in the genre. Loved the narrator of the first book but you get used to the second one soon enough (I just listened back to back while doing the garden). Narrator did a great job of the voices in this one and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Worth the read right to the end.

First time listening to a podcast but it was free and with what I've been spending on Audible lately thought it would kill some hours on the drive. First episode, first 5 mins and thought well I've tried it back to my next book. End of episode 1 and I was intrigued. So told myself just on the city part of my drive. By episode 5 I was sure he deserved it. By episode 6 I thought he was guilty. By episode 9 I was thinking the police got it wrong. Like a great page turned I couldn't switch it off and this is testament to the wonderful narration, very clever storytelling and I really loved the production elements throughout. It was like listening to a great soundtrack. Maybe this is what all podcasts are like - I look forward to finding out. A great murder mystery with lots of twists and turns to keep you hooked. Well done!

Story
For years, the biggest threat that Yellowstone was thought to offer was in the form of its semi-dormant super volcano. Little did anyone realize the threat was real and slowly working its way to the surface, but not in the form of magma. Lying deep within the bowels of the Earth itself, an ancient virus waited. Recently credited with the extinction of Neanderthal man, the virus erupts into a crowded Yellowstone. The park is packed with sight seers and party goers during a benefit concert who are all now fodder for the ancient rage virus.

I found this one a bit simple, the premise is new yes, but then it becomes same old, same old. Yes, rip roaring zombies but they've probably been done a little more originally with stronger writing. Felt like we had to cram in some bad language, cram in some lewdness just to tick the boxes. Characters were simplistic. Take it or leave it for me, probably wont be following the series forward for now. Felt a little like maybe this is the first book for the author?? Not sure, just a little amateurish amongst what is out there in the genre. Narration didnt bring anything much to the table but didnt detract either.
