Didn’t like the political jibes or the condescending “I’m the best Scotlands got” tone, the story seems weak. Its a struggle. The main character is full of herself, and police colleagues juvenile. Just not feeling it at the first attempt of listening, will try again when I’m really bored and desperate for something to listen to.

Looking forward to the next book..

Whilst there was some odds parts to this Audible book narration - Al no longer an Amer I enjoyed it. Not so much the violent detail and the astrological angle was a hard to follow but it was pulled together well and ending didn’t disappoint.

Not the best but an easy listen. But predictable. Happy ending, but not I’d listen to again. Sorry.

Not sure why but I lost track of characters completely. Seems a nice story about life, love and growing up but just couldn’t keep track. Might have been better with multiple narrators. I’ll give it another go.

Had a job following some of the story and will listen again but overall, marvellous story and not at all what I expected. Takes you right to the outback country town for sure.

Great journalism. A story all too familiar. Confronting but leaves hope. I’m pleased to have discovered podcasts!

Nice little story. Twist at the end quite confronting but well done. A story about life and family thrown in for good measure.

Third read and didn’t disappoint.

Loved it. Felt the emotional highs and lows of Louisa’s journey through life. Loved Mrs D’Witt... Highly recommend
