I remember reading this book on cassette tapes when i was younger. The same recording too. I recall the joy of reading it then. The dramatisation was as perfect to me now as it was back then. I’d recommend this to anyone, whether childor adult, a beautiful story about time and loneliness andthe longing for childhood in old age.

An interesting story would be interesting if the reading of it was more interesting

The story is very interesting but Jefery Robertson's narration is very stultifying and instead of making this book interesting to read it has the efect of putting the listener into a kind of stuper. It's better not read out loud.

Absolutely loved this book. Would highly recommend anyone to read it. The story was thrilling, sad, ironic in parts and haunting with many twists and turns.

I found this Audible original a most compelling listen/read. The twists and turns of real events unfolding are suspenseful as well as the insights the listener gleans from victems of the east area rapest help to move the telling along.
