Not bad for a first work. I definitely feel it has a lot of potential. If he can smooth out some of the pacing issues and maybe avoid a few more cliches he could have quite a good series on his hands. Peter Kenny is always great with his narration, however for some reason it didn't seem quite as good as usual here.

I feel like Sanderson is such an overrated writer. his writing style here feels very immature, with over use of dramatics that border on the outright cheesy and extremely naive characters that are difficult to truly relate with. To top it off is the awful narration from Kramer. His accents feel so awkward and forced.

Difficult but worth it.

Robin Hobb is a master storyteller. While often hard to stomach and a frustrating read/listen her ability at showing character growth and beautifully tying up her plot by the end makes this series very worthwhile.

A hodgepodge of redundant plot lines, stunted characters and repetitive prose. I highly recommend giving this series a miss

If I have to listen to him mispronounce 'grimaced' one more time I am going to lose it!
