Brain over Binge provides both a gripping personal account and an informative scientific perspective on bulimia and binge eating disorder. The author, Kathryn Hansen, candidly shares her experience as a bulimic and her alternative approach to recovery. Brain over Binge is different from other eating disorder books which typically present binge eating and purging as symptoms of complex emotional and psychological problems.

The theme of this four-day retreat: "It's Always Now" The Now is inseparable from who you are at the deepest level. It is the prerequisite of Being. As you listen to the words on this tape, you participate in the retreat. To "retreat" means to step back - not only from the outer world, but also from the world in your head, the thinking mind. Allow the sound of the words to take you beyond words and beyond sound to the stillness within.

This story is a great love story with a twist. Unfortunately the narrator was not quite my favourite and near the end the recording gets a little scratchy. Otherwise over all it is worth a listen.

This story, dazzling in its simplicity and wisdom, is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of treasure buried in the Pyramids. Along the way he meets a Gypsy woman, a man who calls himself king, and an Alchemist, all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest.

The story was used to express deeper meanings of life which really allows one to see a different perspective of life and the beauty that lies within everything and the power that we hold within ourselves as individuals. It's a great listen and it is well read.
