The trilogy is well written and the story keeps you engaged, its quite dark, about the secrets with a family and the sinuses of historical dark acts that come to the fore. I really enjoyed this, well worth a listen

This is a beautifully written story of love and loss during war and in peace. It delivers real emotion and you really get to know the well crafted characters that pay homage to real people who doubtlessly lived and felt many of the feeling expressed in this story.

The beauty of this book is not that its about baseball but that it brings characters to life. It illustrates the times and personalities really well with humour, realism and disappointments too. Jim's personal story, the loss of a beloved daughter, is really touching and heartfelt. I enjoyed this book so much as it really is a story of a sporting life and life after sport, well worth a good listen

Really enjoyed this book about the cathar. I knew scanly about their end only but this book was well researched and delivered a wealth of knowledge about a period of history and beliefs of its time.
