Tazeen was a fantastic presenter. Great panel. Lots of great information. Except now I’m questioning writing this online review because a spy would not do that!

Not for me.

No doubt he is a great guy who’s done great work with his talks and is super passionate but the book doesn’t deliver what it promises. The book is really just a whole bunch of life stories, lots of boring sport stories, lots of name dropping and some humble style patting himself on the back. Very generalised in the content and I still don’t actually know the nuts and bolts of ‘GEM’. Probably could have been delivered in 30 mins.

Narrator had the most annoying voice. The story jumped between some interesting writing and then colloquial ramblings full of American pop culture references. totally unrelatable for my Australian kids. Got half way through and could not listen any longer and had to return it to audible.

The audio version was an awesome experience and I really enjoyed listening to Adam and David have conversations about the content of the book. The ‘performance’ was natural and genuine, the story was epic but delivered a simple message. I’m a mum of 4 bogged down in domestic chores most of the time but I’m no longer using this as my ‘excuse’.

A question I felt was left unanswered- what happened to Pam’s baby that was due on graduation day?

Makes so much sense.... Clear and actionable help

Excellent research and experience backed up by excellent narration by the authors. I loved everything about this book and immediately tried the strategies over the month it took to complete the book. I have started to see small changes in all of my kids. I have reverted back to old ways, where I handle problems sub-optimally, then I come back to the book and listen to the encouraging and non-judgemental advice. I have copped a little sly commentary from 'well meaning' grandparents about being 'too soft' and 'lack of control over your kids' and 'needs a good smack' but I'm letting them 'judge away' while I work on building my whole brain skills and enjoy my 4 kids.

A 'must-read' suitable for everyone

A very funny account, almost story version of what could be a bit of a boring subject if it was read out of a text book. I Could not stop listening, it was quite captivating and seriously educational. I think I might get my kids to listen to it too. Well worth the purchase.
