Story
Christians have not always presented an inviting picture to the world. Too often we have failed to show the beauty of authentic Christian love. And the world has disregarded Christianity as a result. In our era of global violence and sectarian intolerance, the church needs to hear anew the challenge of this book.

The Heart of the Matter
Reviewed: 08-02-2018
The subject material of this book is basic but so is the heartbeat also basic to life and no one would argue its importance. Love touches the surface yet also plumbs the depths of all Christianity is designed to be. Our love will not stand the test if superficial or sporadic. It must be stoutly supernatural so that the brethren can rest in it and the world can test us by it. True essentials are here to consider which Francis Schaeffer dicusses in depth. And wisely- not just once. This book will serve well to remind and test our love as we would over the years return regularly to hear it again to assure ourselves that we are not running in vain.
