Story
"Monsters" said Vince Martinelli. "There are monsters on the rig, Dave." Dave Hooper has the hangover from hell, a demonic ex-wife and the claws of the tax office sinking into him. So the last thing he needs is an explosion at the off-shore oil rig where he works. But this is no ordinary industrial accident, and despite the news reports, Dave knows that terrorists aren't to blame for the disaster. He knows because he has killed one of the things responsible.

Very enjoyable

First let me start off with my only 2 negatives with this book. 1 the long and overly exaggerate parts involving the monsters, their names and the way the see things. 2 Dave not exploring his new powers and using them more effectively. It was a fun book and I recommend it. Just those two things got a little annoying for me personally at times in the book. the narration was great, I'm used to his style from the Steve Alten Meg book series.

Story
Stephen King says he wanted to know what happened to Danny Torrance, the boy at the heart of The Shining, after his terrible experience in the Overlook Hotel. The instantly riveting Doctor Sleep picks up the story of the now middle-aged Dan, working at a hospice in rural New Hampshire, and the very special 12-year old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals.

Beautiful sad and moving follow up to The Shining

This book was read with such care and skill. I just want to get more books read by him. The story was really touching and I caught myself smiling at times and almost crying at others. The reader did an amazing job of giving each character their own voice. I was sad to reach the end. The story wrapped up well but I still wanted more. But that is always the way with a good book.
