It took me a little bit to get my head around this one and if I liked it... it's raw, gritty, funny.. very different. I actually really, really enjoyed it. By the end I was so immersed in the characters and storyline I didn't want it to end!

I devoured this book. A well told lovely family tale with realistic characters. I really enjoyed the way the model wife book was interwoven throughout the story. the narrator did a good job overall. A wonderful book I would listen to this again.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the storyline and characters. It was an easy listen. Not a massive fan of the narrator, some of the characters sounded quite odd... This book was way too long some unnecessary parts for example the therapist encounter just felt like filler material. I had to speed it up to finish it, particularly in the last 2 hours. I did enjoy it but I didn't love it and would not listen to it again.

I dont know how I finished this. I've never listened to a tasmina perry book before cant say I am keen to again. I don't know why exactly, I just couldnt concentrate on it. Maybe the chopping back and forth between the times? It was slow and drawn I sped up the narration a bit to finish it.

I realised pretty early on I made a mistake downloading this one. Parts of it were OK but I really struggled to stay interested. Not a fan of this one. it may have been partly the genre just not my cup of tea.

A lot of action packed in to a short story. Narrator did a good job. I didn't love it but it was enjoyable enough.

Really struggled to finish this short book.. so many inane conversations and parts of the story I switched off.. not much happening. Too much waffle. Don't understand all the 5 star reviews...

Aoife McMahon is such an excellent narrator I think I could almost listen to anything that she is reading. the story was ok. I drifted off a bit here and there. The main character is very gullible... overall I did enjoy it. Would go 3 1/2 stars if there were half star ratings.

The most breathtakingly beautiful book I've ever read/listened to... absolutely exquisite story and writing. The narrator was perfectly matched. Initially I resisted as its not in my usual genre so glad I gave this a go. I assumed it would be too sad, depressing or graphic for me. it wasn't. It was so beautifully told.

Loved this book. A light, relatable, comical read. Aoife McMahon is a brilliant narrator. Good story line, characters and value for money as it was a lengthy read.
