the start is a little bit slow during his early years but as soon as he starts travelling the book gets amazing. the descriptive writing of some of the scenarios that he gets into especially when he starts to ride really big waves is epic and his voice as a narrator is perfect especially when he goes into a detailed scenario. the discovery around the islands especially Fiji is epic and also when he goes to Indonesia and finds Nias. I couldn't recommend this book more and I am only in my early thirties and a very keen Surfer!!

all the ways they evaded the FBI are really interesting and you get a really good insight into how evil this guy really was some of the stories are pretty brutal but all in all this was a pretty damn good book it will have you interested right to the end

the narrator is perfect for this story but it follows the movie almost scene for scene. The most frustrating part is that each scene and each situation is so dragged out you find yourself over it before the climax is reached. it feels like it was made to gain a quick dollar off the back of a successful movie with no effort whatsoever put into the dialogue.
