But then I have enjoyed all Holly’s books. Well written account of the two perspectives that make up a relationship. This resonated with me as I too am into my 14th year of marriage - no infidelity, but certainly some big life changes to contend with. Fictional though it is, this book provided some points to reflect upon. It’s easy to get caught in your own perspective and entangled in your feelings. The narration was great and certainly helped to bring the words to life. Now I have to wait for Holly’s next book and as we all know, that’s the hardest part. Well done Miss Holly, well done!

I loved this book and I have read and listened to hundreds. The ‘issues’ people seem to have with the narration are because of the American/New Zealand cross over and as mentioned in a previous review Kiwis’ speak like that. It is also damn hard to not take on their accent. We love it here in Australia. This book is so sweet, with touches of sadness, grapplings with past events and love found. Do yourself a favour and grab this one, it’s a beauty!

My heart, my soul.

Joy Dettman captures the female Australian character so well. Deidre Ribenstein, I could listen to all day long. I binged on this and now I have nothing to listen to. The struggle is real.

This is my first Di Morrissey book and I loved it. Kate Hood does a fabulous job of the narrating. Listen to it, you won’t be displeased.

Well done Candice, another fab instalment if the Crimson Lake series. I love your character development and your writing style is not bogged down with needless detail. Lani has also done a great job. I’m glad he was used again as there is nothing worse then when a narrator is changed throughout the series. Fab work team.

I have listened to all of SJM’s books and feel that she is dragging them out way too much. My love for her style was not enough to stop me from rolling my eyes in places and to get frustrated when she would repeat herself endlessly. Perhaps being paid by the word has changed her style?

This is the fifth book I’ve listen to that Candice has either written or co-authored and I am loving her work. I don’t have any flash works to critique her work, other than Candice writes a fabulous story that flows well and is compelling. I have listened to a few books narrated by Lani (most of those are Candice’s books) and I find he is the perfect match for Candice’s books. On to the next one now...🙃
