Once again you will return to midderland and there will be no disappointment. The writer and narrator have stuck to their strengths with this one and the result is another modern masterpiece in a long line of excellent gorey goodness.

Repetitive predictability and rampant boredom extending from that consistently dreary delivery. Maybe it was the narrator making it worse, I'm not sure. I won't be attempting to try this series or author again though.

Rich narration and a fun retelling of an old story steeped in the trope we know and love, highlighting it's more tragic moments and partially justifying the choices made in such a process as Strahd's transformation.

Compelling and Visceral.

I spent much of my time listening to this story thinking of how well delivered the characters are. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot turns and twists even when the author made them so abundantly clear they were about to happen. I was so completely captivated by the terrible fights and bloodthirsty killing that I did not stop listening untill the Las drop of blood was spilt. Most of all I believed that the characters were real while I was listening. Well done Joe. The narration was quite well done though a few characters were not voiced as they were intended to sound so I give less than full stars. Story and overall experience were amazing.

There was an overlapping of sentences within the last few chapters. Other than that, this was an amazing purchase.
