In just a decade and a half, Jack Ma, a man from modest beginnings who started out as an English teacher, founded Alibaba and built it into one of the world's largest companies, an e-commerce empire on which hundreds of millions of Chinese consumers depend. Alibaba's $25 billion IPO in 2014 was the largest global IPO ever. A Rockefeller of his age who is courted by CEOs and presidents around the world, Jack is an icon for China's booming private sector.

I enjoyed 70% of this book, however did find it long and drawn out at times; I like detail but this was a lot. Jack Ma is a fascinating guy who we all can learn from, what a life, what a legacy! Would recommend

Maybe it was a grandparent or a teacher or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching and gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly 20 years ago. Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you?

Wow. To say I was moved by this book feels like an understatement. The beautiful simplicity of Morrie's teachings are a reminder of how we get so caught up in this world. Namingly with ourselves. Everybody should read this as their right of passage into the world! An essential. I bawled my eyes out and I still would have listened if it was much longer !

In June of 1999, Stephen King was hit by a van while walking along the shoulder of a country road in Maine. Six operations were required to save his life and mend his broken body. When he was finally able to sit up, he immediately started writing. This book - part biography, part a collection of tips for the aspiring writer - is the extraordinary result.

Whilst I'm not a die-hard SK fan I am still a fan. Him narrating this is the best part because his humour and wit shines through ten fold. First half of the book does tell a lot about him which I quite like and although I would have liked more, it is a memoir on writing so he does really get on with exactly that. Highly recommend not just for writers - but be warned this will inspire you to write something ANYTHING.

This is the only money guide you'll ever need. That's a bold claim, given there are already thousands of finance books on the shelves. So what makes this one different? You'll get a step-by-step formula: open this account, then do this; call this person, and say this; invest money here and not there. All with a glass of wine in your hand.

Book was good. I like Scotts voice too he's so friendly and easy to listen to like a bloke at a BBQ. I'm not entirely sure about the book as a whole. It's great for young people, beginners or those just trying to reverse their bad spending habits or relationship with money but it's all pretty basic and I feel he is very bias to certain things which I guess is to be expected.

Jack Daly is an international expert in sales and sales management, bringing 30 plus years of field proven experience from a starting base with CPA firm Arthur Andersen to the CEO level of several national companies. The thrust here is creating an environment in your business where your employees don’t begrudgingly come into work, but rather are excited to be working at your company. If we get the culture right, everything else in our business will be easier. If we don’t get it right, all else will be hard.
