The voice of the narrator spoiled this story for me

The author is a favourite of mine but the mature voice did not fit the character and the story was too long winded. Shame. I won’t be jumping in to a Mhairi McFarlane book too quickly.

So depressing I couldn’t complete

As the daughter of ageing parents suffering dementia and heart disease I find the thoughts of this couple depressing and unacceptable Using their son’s gambling issues and incarceration is cowardice and they should be trying to help and be an example to their Grandchildren.

Just a book, Nora Roberts is always an easy listen but this one was monotone.

The narrator had a lovely voice but I found the breaks between characters hard to decipher.

This book had such great reviews I thought it was a must to listen to but was really disappointed. The story was so long winded and would be more entertaining if it was cut In half

Far too slow

I felt the story was predictable. William was mediocre along with the storyline. Loved the Clifton Chronicles but this did not compare. Wouldn’t recommend. Sorry
