Masterfully read, really was. Sadly the story failed as the whodunit unravelled into something that was merely laughable. Unfortunate as up until it became obvious it felt like it was a good series to commit to, but not in the way it unfolded.

Firstly, the voice actor in this is book in fact very good, however he has been let down by editing. On at least 5+ occasions a sentence is started then cut of by the start of a new sentence. I don't think much is lost but it does detract overall and is the first I have experience this from Audible.

To King of Ashes...
The story builds well and promises a return to the great stories of Magician and the proceeding books by one of the best writers in the Fantasy realm. In Feist fashion there is a slow build to the story and the main characters offer intrigue and keep you interested and I very much look forward to book two. It is nice to read something new from the writer who inspired me to write and I hope that the coming series will continue as it has started.

The content in the book is as good advice as you will get from anywhere, if you follow what Scott says and have faith you will dig yourself out of whatever hole you are in.

Clear steps on what to do, when to do it and how to do it... No BS, there is very real and legit guidelines in this book that will work. Scott knows what he is talking about.

Perfect for an Australian or if you live in Australia.

That said, I am not Australian nor do I live in Australia! However, with a bit of work I can adapt his ideas to myself here in New Zealand (the actual best country in the world!) but it will just take a bit more work for me to figure out how things work here.

The steps are much the same though.

This book is worth the time you spend with it... Especially if you live in Australia, the 2nd best country in the world, maybe the 3rd. Definitely no lower than 5th!

The ideas in this book aren't Earth shattering but are simple and easy enough to understand. Sadly the voice performance of the book was a big let down for me. It was just not the right voice for the mood the story was written in. A lot of the dry humor is lost because of the voice. This is Definately a book to read rather than listen to.
