What a series, imaginative, frustrating, funny but totally gripping this was the best series of books I’ve read/listened to in a very long time.
Do yourself a favour and sink into this rich and colourful world, you won’t regret it!

This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

This book was the worst piece of rubbish I have saver encountered, the fact that someone took the time to write RPG stats into a book and then repeat them over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, made it frustrating at the least. I had to turn it off after about 4 hours.
The story is thin on actual, well, story. If this is the future of contemporary fantasy literature the world is in dire straights!!!!! I’d also like to know how it got a 4.5 star rating on audible

I hope you didn't pay this guy for his portrayal of this book, it is the most wooden poorly performed audiobook I have ever listened to.
Such a shame the book has had an injustice done to it.
I love this series so decided to listen to it and am highly disappointed, I hope the third books performance is better than this
