Well narrated, had me held.

Plus I learned a new word " Gaslighting". I've been trying to tell my little stories to anyone, everyone and no-one took me seriously. Now there is one word, explaining it ALL.
Thank you Claire McGowan. My feet are on solid ground at Rock Bottom and I am about to kick ass! Well, I will tell someone to look it up and collect proof.

Loved the Hairdresser quips. So true and so much so I've cut and coloured my own hair for the last 15 years. Twice I reneged and cried at the lousy result.
This book was a little faster paced and that may be due to the setting.
Well done, you actually had me laughing.

Wow, what a listening experience!

I loved it. Unexpected, and beautifully narrated.

I was surprised and nervous as the story unfolded, but I was so hooked into the characters already. I was treated to a beautiful love story, exciting and bold, different and not a dull moment!

The acting was terrible, the background noise and music was annoying and the dialogue was needlessly crass. No style, no wit and no comedy.

What a narration! What a story! What a romance! What a moving slice of Australian wartime history!
All except the dog. That was not good at all, Jojo.

Narrator put emphasis on words in odd places. Not sure if this is due to not preparing for her recording or just her quirk. It was annoying and distracting, but at other times I loved her narration.

The Narrators were amazing.

I loved this deep and moving story and the narrators were truly gifted at playing all the characters.

A quiet, soulful story. Although it was good, I had to have breaks along the way as it became very heavy with no lighter, humourous parts unless you count them enjoying surfing.

This is my 9th Jill Mansell book but I couldn't keep listening to it.
A combination of sugary sweet perfect characters and the narrator giving the heroine a 16 year old posh voice. Everyone was posh!
Where are the gritty, interesting, faulty characters? Too predictable by far. I need salt to get rid of the sugary taste.

Another great Jill Mansell story, narrated by the perfect Karen Crass. I'm amazed the stories are all different, and still reliably good.

By Chapter 5 we heard in detail how he hot his #%%^## out and #^^$!@. Romantic? Not.
Childish, stupid and reminds me of pratty, frat parties.
Bad audio too.
