Avoid the Audible version!

Not a bad story, I think! It was hard to really concentrate on the storyline due to the horrendous narration! This narrator should never be allowed to do female voices UNLESS you're purposely trying to offend by making them sound like whiney Drag Queens! I hope that's not politically incorrect - no offence meant to anyone. This is the second book in as many weeks that I regret buying due to the Narrator. Looks like I'll have to read the sequel the old fashioned way.

Will be returning!

I'm starting to question the independence of the reviews on this series as I purchased solely based on the many glowing reviews. The narrator was the worst I've ever endured. Her droning monotone throughout and ridiculously pompous depiction of the main male character was excruciating. The story was interesting but could easily have been covered with better effect in one book. I'm not sure if this is due to the monetary temptation of 2 books or just terrible editing. This situation makes me wish Audible had a feature where you could flag Authors and Narrators you really don't like to avoid accidentally buying their work again. What a mess!

This was my first book by this Author. I will try to listen to another one because I think the Narrator of this one overly influenced my opinion in the negative. The whole time I listened, I kept wondering if she needed to clear her throat, spit out her gum or get some better glue for her false teeth! SO distracting! I wish Audible had a feature to flag Authors and/or Narrators you really dislike so you don't get stuck with purchases you regret. Okay storyline but nothing special IMHO.

Conflicted!

This Audiobook has left me so conflicted! I would happily listen to Sebastian York read the phone book, he can make the worst story entrancing for me. The story is brilliant, so all good right? Unfortunately the female narrator is so mind bogglingly annoying that I actually huffed aloud in disgust every time we returned to her. Jason Clarke does a solid job which is a relief or this one would have been going straight back before Sebastian even murmered a syllable. Now my predicament is; do I harumpf my way through listening to the next 2 installments wondering how on earth Erin Mallon has a job or do I read the next 2, thereby missing out on the dulcet tones of Mr York making the story all the more riveting? Decisions, decisions :(

This book has me torn. Funny in parts with likeable main characters but it seemed to take a long time to travel the short distance. As usual, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are brilliant but sorry I won't buy another Audio book narrated by Tad Branson. Annoyed that the story finishes pretty lamely with another book to follow. I have a feeling of missed potential.

Loved this book, very hot! Do yourself a favor and get the Audiobook, Kai Kennacott and Wen Ross are AMAZING!!!

Disappointed!

I purchased this story as an Audiobook after searching for Sebastian York titles. Imagine my annoyance when I find that he only narrates a couple of chapters, one of them being a word for word repeat of the female narrator's! Very disappointing and misleading by Audible.

So disappointing! Loved the first 3 books in this series but this one really felt like a money grab by the author. I loved Joe Morgan's narration but Grace Grant really let the Audible version down for me. I wish there was a filter in Audible for you to screen out Narrators that annoy you.

Great story but....

I really enjoyed the storyline of this first installment. Zachary Webber is fabulous as always but the female narrator is pretty cringeworthy. I'm hoping the next book in the series is good enough to distract from her grating girlish voice she uses!

Hilarious, laugh out loud misadventures of 3 women we all want as friends! Loved listening to the Audio book but can't understand why they chose the male narrator for the epilogue. Sorry to say he's pretty bad, would love a version with the female narrator that did the rest of the book expertly! I'm off now to search for Lydia's story....please tell me there is more 🥰
