I really enjoyed the first few chapters of this book but it did go on a bit. It is a bit too flounce and emotive for my tastes . I found the justification of such vengeful destruction tiresome too. The performance was good and helped define characters.

Really enjoyed this book. Hill captures current values and relationships with a sharp, at times uncomfortable accuracy. At times it was laugh out loud funny and at times jaw dropping bleak. A good book to listen to, immaculately performed.

I love this book when I read it and therefore felt a bit hesitant to listen to it but it was amazing. Really well performed.

Wonderful, exquisitely sad, beautifully written and read.

Ms Roy writes prose that are poetic and staggeringly original. I just love the way she uses English. The story weaves like a Kashmir rug full of colours and imaginary. Ms Roy brings her own work to life as no one else can. I highly recommend this audio book.

Murakami at his most detailed and strangest. It seemed to go on a bit too much but it was still enjoyable. I found it very well narrated .

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I did not like this book. I found it predictable, macho, one dimensional and totally lacking in imagination. I also think it rather poorly written. Wallowing in chest- beating bravado with very little substance. There's about two hours of my life I will not get back.

Would you recommend I Am Pilgrim, Volume 1 to your friends? Why or why not?

No, not unless they're a slightly dense, adolescent boy.

What about Christopher Ragland’s performance did you like?

Was not too bad but the content put me off.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

Wish i could put it back on the shelf and walk away.....
