Story
A wryly funny and moving account of an extraordinary life lived almost entirely in the public eye.
Teen idol at 15, international icon and founder of the Brat Pack at 20, and one of Hollywood's top stars to this day, Rob Lowe chronicles his experiences as a painfully misunderstood child actor in Ohio uprooted to the wild counterculture of mid-1970s Malibu, where he embarked on his unrelenting pursuit of a career in Hollywood.

Rob Lowe’s book, “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” is a wonderful and entertaining account of his life. I was inspired to purchase the book after being impressed by his podcast “Literally”. Rob gives a great account of the struggles in his early life and what inspired him to become an actor. The fate and kismet of his personal relationships is fascinating. His maturity from party boy to loving father and husband is inspiring. Would recommend this to anyone. Kev Toohey

In I’m Your Emotional Support Animal, Adam Carolla examines how our culture went careening off a cliff. We used to have one that created real warriors who fought world wars. Now it spawns social justice warriors who fight Twitter wars. He takes on those who are traumatized by Trump and “emotional support animal” owners who proclaim their victimhood at every airport. He stands up for the collateral damage of the #MeToo movement and for freedom of speech on “safe space” filled college campuses.

Fascinating insight into the career of FBI Negotiator Gary Noesner. His dedication to his duties and his development of this law enforcement tool, not only in America but Internationally is truly remarkable. The audiobook format works well as he narrates the book himself and his inflection and tone help illustrate his story. He provides a balanced view and is respectful towards colleagues who adopted differing approaches to situations and allows the outcome to highlight which approach yielded the more desired result. Highly recommend. Kev Toohey- Australia.

I have just completed the audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s an interesting, breezy, heartfelt, honest and hilarious memoir of Greg’s life focussing on his family and career. He has his issues and is totally self aware of his shortcomings but completely owns them and talks of his struggles to address them and improve as a person. It’s beautiful to hear about the love he has for his family. Highly recommend to anyone.

While he's not quite a household name, most people would consider H. Jon Benjamin, the voice-actor star of Archer and Bob's Burgers (and a sentient can of mixed vegetables in 2015's Wet Hot American Summer) a comedy show business success. But he'd like to remind everyone that as great as success can be, failure is also an option. In a hilarious, self-deprecating memoir, Jon lays out some of his many failures in all areas of life, from Work ("wherein I'm unable to deliver a sizzling fajita") to Family ("wherein a trip to PF Chang's fractures a family").

His life story is so funny and a refreshing change from a biography that speaks of continual success when in reality the stories of embarrassment, failure and disaster are always so much more entertaining. This title is perfect for the Audiobook listener.

Just finished the audiobook. Simply outstanding. Can’t wait to give it a repeat listen! In school you learn a very polished/clean Australian History. It rings so true that the early European settlement was pretty loose with plenty of fornicating, fighting and thieving. This is a very fun look at the history and the well known names and characters that shaped those early years. Highly recommend this book. Kev Toohey- Australia

Although it's only a short book, it has a powerful message. There are simple life lessons- mainly about not quitting and accepting that life is not always fair and it's up to you to keep moving forward. Being a good person- a good team guy- will have a positive influence on those around you and on yourself. Really enjoyed the book and the message it delivers. Thank you.
