It’s rare that after a near perfect trilogy, that an author can come back with a new story that picks up and continues as well as Dennis E Taylor has with Heaven’s River and the Bobiverse This was such a cerebral roller coaster I absolutely loved it and have the friends who first got me listening to the Bobiverse books a few years ago excited because they didn’t know it was coming

An incredible whodunnit!

This is quite possibly the greatest Mike Bowditch novel yet! Paul Doiron’s characters were taken to new places with favourites going right out of the readers expectations but never disappointing and not without the best intentions and motivations Like all the great detective stories, who you think is to blame isn’t always and just when you think you’ve got it, the rug gets pulled out from under you Absolutely loved this story and the performance was brilliant too - excellently done Mr Doiron and Mr Leyva!

Another Gierach delight!

It was great to go on another series of fishing expeditions with John and his friends Many laughs and learnings and for me I felt like I was on a tour through North Americans rivers, creeks and lakes, mountains, highways, diners and tackle shops - despite being in the Western Australian desert Can’t wait for the next one to come to Audible. I’ve got them all

Another Man's Moccasins cover art

Another great story to ride along with

I love how you kinda feel you’re there, along for the ride and how the obvious isn’t it, always an intelligent, witty and meaningful mystery from Craig Johnson Anyone who loves the TV series will love this as much or more because we get to get into Walt’s head - and he’s a lot funnier in print I hope we see the FBI return ;)

Timeless, still holds up even though it’s over 50 years old, none of the usual tropes and science failings that date easily Production and voice work was excellent, having sections with multiple cast members is a treat Required reading for any sci-fi fan and as it’s long and complex, it works best in audiobook format in this nerd’s opinion

Realistic, intelligent and now i want to go fishing

Great book! The characters are all realistic, nothing over the top and the story jumps no sharks but keeps you wanting to know more and find out whodunnit!

This is another delightful Gierach book Full of atmosphere, good spirited fun and dry wit As always you learn something and feel like you’re song for the fishing trips sans mosquitos Gierachs books are wonderful in the way a good fishing story is good to listen to again and again

Great characters are what make a good story, this has them It’s still a bit conservative politics centric which in the Trump era don’t work as well because of the way people betray their values and logic over party, but still holds up, it was written just before conservatives sold out the USA The premise is realistic and not treated with the common trope of country people will have it easy / not miss a beat, it is what one would reasonably expect and so the characters have the solid bit of reality Great gun porn, not over the top like a Jerry Ahern book, but enough that it’s real for these kinds of people, not all generic pistol, rifle etc. Just enough sexual tension to be real without it being in teen drama territory Will definitely read sequels

The Bobiverse trilogy is one of those stories that is an investment - it has great value in that you will listen/read it again and again It’s top notch sci-fi, it’s brilliant for pop / nerd culture fans and is just so refreshingly grounded and human The characters are very realistic and honest feeling, full of successes and failures and most all... just so damn funny

Great characters and story, just not the gripping/exciting Star Wars Starfighter pilot drama you’d hope for like you’d expect from an Aaron Alston X-Wing novel or Claudia Gray’s amazing Lost Stars Excellent representation which we need to keep getting more of,m
