The premise of this book was ridiculous, the story was unbelievable and the story was so fun. If you're looking for a realistic, down to earth story, then this probably isnt the one but if you want light, easy, giggly fun then this book is perfect. Rebekkah Ross is a wonderful narrator & I will continue to seek out books read by her. She brings every story she reads to life.

Story
Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with as well as way less experience in the dating department than the average 30-year-old. It doesn't help that she has Asperger's and that French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. She decides that she needs lots of practice - with a professional - which is why she hires escort Michael Phan.

Usually I devour all romance but this one really dragged. I struggled to finish. It just felt like the story was going in circles with no real development. I finished the book but wont be rushing to pick up another one by this author in a while.

Foul-mouthed, quirky, sharp-as-a-whip Hazel never thought she would win the heart of her gorgeous college TA, Josh. And, in fact, she didn’t. But what a difference 10 years can make. Well...10 years, and a lot of legwork.

Narrator almost wrecks it
Reviewed: 17-11-2019
It was a sweet enough read. A little slow to begin with but picks up about 1/3 way in. The male narrator almost made me stop listening. His female voice changed the character from quirky to whiney. Whilst I would read Christina Lauren again, I will avoid this male narrator like the plague. The female did a great job.

Story
Darcy Barrett found her dream man at age eight - ever since, she's had to learn to settle for good enough. Having conducted a global survey of men, she can categorically say that no one measures up to Tom Valeska, whose only flaw is that he's her twin brother's best friend - oh, and that 99 percent of the time, he hasn't seemed interested in her.

Good not great.

Whilst the book was well written it didn't have me desperate for more like The Hating Game did. The book is a lot of lusty conversation but has minimal plot. The narrator was great but at times it was hard to distinguish between external and internal thoughts of the main character. The audiobook ends with an additional epilogue for The Hating Game but seemed unnecessary.

Story
Kacey is the new girl in Broken Falls. When she moved in with her father, she stepped into a brand-new life. A life with a stepbrother, a stepmother, and, strangest of all, an adoring younger half sister. Kacey's new life is eerily charming compared with the wild highs and lows of the old one she lived with her volatile mother. And everyone is so nice in Broken Falls - she's even been welcomed into a tight new circle of friends. Bailey and Jade invite her to do everything with them.

Reminded me of Lauren Oliver's writing, particularly Panic or Broken Things. Well narrated and interesting plot. The ending felt a little rushed but not predictable. A book I will definitely return to.

Story
The stunning new standalone novel from New York Times best-selling author Lauren Oliver. It's been five years since Mia and Brynn murdered Summer Marks, their best friend, in the woods. Increasingly obsessed with a novel called The Way into Lovelorn and by their fan-fiction imagining of its sequel, the girls were drawn by an undertow of fantasy into the magical world they'd created. But eventually, their delusions turned sick, and the Shadow, Lovelorn's central evil, began to haunt them. Or so the story goes. The only thing is: they didn't do it.

Story
Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman sit across from each other every day...and they hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. Lucy can't understand Joshua's joyless, uptight approach to his job and refusal to smile. Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy's overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and desire to be liked. Now they're up for the same promotion, and Lucy, usually a determined people pleaser, has had enough: it's time to take him down. But as the tension between Lucy and Joshua reaches its boiling point, it's clear that the real battle has only just begun....
