Story
The sequel to the number one Audible Best Seller Earthcore, Mount Fitz Roy continues the tale of Patrick O’Doyle and Bertha Lybrand, who were part of the horror show that occurred far below the mountains of Utah. They learn that the "mother of all motherlodes” discovered there was not unique, that there is another deposit similar to it three miles beneath the towering peak of Cerro Chaltén on the disputed border between Chile and Argentina. O'Doyle, a middle-aged former member of a disgraced black-ops unit, gets his aging team back together to go after this fortune.

Brilliant story, great characters, great performance.
Two weeks ago, I hadn't heard of Scott Sigler, i simply grabbed it as it was another Ray Porter job... Two books later, I can absolutely say I'm a fan. Ray Porter as a narrator is a win from the start, but I loved the story & the characters that Sigler spun. Time to expand my Sigler collection 😊

Actual Worst Listen For 2020.

I don't have the actual words to convey how deeply awful this is. Take a good fun filled romp full of pop culture references and characters you could kind of like that was the original... Then take all of the fun bits out, throw in some virtue signalling at any opportunity, use the word "THEN" way to often, bleach it, make it beige as f*ck, manage to chip away any care for the characters and you might have an idea of how truly average this is.
Wheaton does ok on the narration, but you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig.
Avoid and just listen to the original again.
Absolute bollocks. Worst thing I've listened to all year, and that INCLUDES any Covid 19 announcements and the clusterf*ck that was the US election coverage. Avoid this like genital warts.
Note: apparently, I can't give zero stars, so take the one star with a pinch of salt.

Story
Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

Some of the most fun and truly entertaining reading I've had since discovering Audible... Also, Ray Porter? Tell me you can't hear him singing Cake's, "He's Going The Distane".
