I thoroughly enjoyed Books 1 and 2, actually purchased books 3 and 4 to read together, then I read some reviews - mistake! I like to read what people think but why do people insist on giving away, or almost giving away, the ending? Apologies to the author, but I was so disappointed at it being spoiled I returned the books. So disappointed. I have now preordered the last Gupsy Freak book and will NOT be reading reviews beforehand, but I would like to request reviewers to please think about what they post for the potential reader and the author,

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Susan Erickson does a wonderful job with all the voices and the story.

Ending was a bit quick, as will all her books, but I thoroughly enjoyed the double dose of romance.

Ties in well with the other Magdalene series. Narration was OK. I would have like a little more story once they got together, some things just seemed to drift off. I suppose what I mean is it lacked a little excitement. It was OK.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Ambivalent

What was most disappointing about Lauren Rowe’s story?

Just didn't capture me.

Any additional comments?

I purchased this with the intent of working through the whole series and into the next and then onto the standalone stemming from it. The other reviews on the whole were positive - not so much for me. Won't be continuing and that's a shame.

Would you consider the audio edition of Menace to be better than the print version?

Not necessarily better, just that the narrators bring the story and characters to life.

Have you listened to any of Kasha Kensington and Iggy Toma ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, but I think they both did wonderful jobs with all the different accents and tones to make each voice distinguishable from others.

Any additional comments?

If you like mafia-esque type romances, this will probably be right up your alley. Very enjoyable narration.

I enjoyed both books in written form very much, but the narrators made this a whole new experience for me. The male narrator captured Scar's wit and sarcasm brilliantly.

Any additional comments?

...but the story did not deviate from the synopsis. Would have been better sticking to reading that rather than purchasing the audio. Narration was great though.
