why would you put a 30 minute book up in my Lee Child selection? SO DISAPPOINTING. Not worth starting and if I find I've paid for it I'll be livid, what a waste of data and time!!!!!!

Kept thinking 'This is Stephen King' and I could sort of hear a good story line (behind the white noise grumbling) that would entice me back. I'd try to pick up the story and hang in there and I even started again (twice) to give it my best attention but I gave up. The narrator was boring me to death I decided. The end.

misled by intro discription, not my cup of tea I'm afraid. heavy breathing and slow sensual story telling, it should be in the frustrated spinster section or try another reader.

Boring. Rather listen to a leaf blower than this book. Story drags you along for 5 minutes and then you fall asleep and have to go back to find where you lost interrest. Even the reader's excitement shows in his voice flatulence at best. I'm angry at myself for trying to be positive and hopeful and get to the end.

Worth listen. Kept me intrigued but frustrated with character interpretation poor. Lots of time skips with lots of characters so listener can get lost at times. Sound fluctuations in 1st half. Liked the story and reader okay but not for this kind of story.

a good twisted tale with unsuspecting turns that's performed very well. Been a while since I've heard a 5star, enjoyed and looked forward to each listening.

Listened to first 3 chapters 4 times, thought it was a thriller but turned out to be a violent war story with military jingo and was not my cup of tea without some characters and story. Boring drag-on chest beating sleeping pill.

This goes on and on and nothing happens. Listened to 20 mins here and there and it's some frustrated writer equating love with a big cat. The performance is a Donald Duck one tone and the listener had no idea who or what is happening. God, I wish I had less patience to quit at Chapter 3.

okay. story just about endurance and superman efforts. another bang bang journey without any reality or personal connections. well read by narrator, like first novel, but author just goes from one unbelievable fight or dramatic situation to the next. even drama can get boring.

Lost a lot of books transitioning from USA to Australia Audible and remembered this one with relish. Jumped in and obviously it's been a few years so I actually enjoyed it as much as the first time, unknown drama around every corner. Predictability gets stomped on, while the narrator sucks you into tense shoulders and urges you to get back into listening at very next opportunity. Not for faint hearted but not crass.
