The voice actor whispers for a ridiculous amount of this book. Even on max volume this made it very difficult to work out what she was saying in noisy environments, then nearly bursts your eardrums when she speaks normally. I've listened to hundreds of hours of audiobooks from audible and never had this problem. If the sequel and TV show weren't out I would have returned this book for sure.

This book kept getting better the more I listened. It seems to meander about, not sticking to a typically quest-driven fantasy plotline. I increasingly found myself enjoying this more laid-back pace of storytelling, and am incredibly sorry to see it end. I'm very much looking forward to the next book!!

The previous two novels were excellent, however this one clumsily adds unnecessary and complicated plot elements with absolutely no explanation. The story has become confusing and irritating, yet still has me hooked.

I read Dune many years ago, but reliving it in this excellent audiobook version made me appreciate it in a whole new way (including with correct pronunciation). The voice acting is some of the best I've heard, and there is AMBIENCE! Music is added to the background to add emphasis. It's all very well done :)

I read the first then listened to the second of this series. it preparation for the release of the third I bought this audiobook version to re-read. I'm incredibly pleased made this choice, the book is even better when read by these voice actors. Well worth the expense, 50hrs of story telling lasts a very long time!
