one of my favourite villains at least. I, Strahd is a fantastically written tragic tale of a lord succumbing to the life of retirement after a life of war. Dark & atmospheric, the narrator does a fantastic job of capturing the accents and capturing the mood of this chilling story. This is a story like no other and if you love watching or at least interested in watching a the protagonist grow into an all powerful villain than this is a must read.

I cherish this book!

this book/series is my all time favourite. I have read this book twice now and it remains to be as colorful vibrant and I dunno "delicious" each time. the characters are funny and lovable, the scenes have an incredible atmosphere and tone, and the story although simple is executed perfectly through amazing storytelling. when I found this book I thought it would be a nice read but David Tennant amazing narration plus Cressida Cowell's brilliant writing have made a audible book that captured my imagination in such an extraordinary way.
I can't wait to read the third one when it comes out.

Read this Book!

At first I wasn't sure about Roy's narration from the sample I heard but within the first few minutes I was immediately hooked. His raspy voice perfectly reflected the gritty epic that is George R.R Martin's work. There were some chapters that I felt drag on a little bit but overall this was an inspiration.
I could never have grinded through this story myself, but with Roy's crisp voice I can finally claim to have "read" one of the best fantasy books ever written.
