I was looking forward to hearing Jericho's story but this book isn't as strong as the first two.

The story line has a lot of parallels with April's story in book 2 & I feel she could have come up with more original parts to the story. There was also a lot of repetitive angst & I found myself glazing over during some chapters. I'm glad it was mostly written in the view of Izzy as she's s character I liked but her strength was definitely under-played.

We also got a little more of a look at Wheeler & Ivy which was great. Looking forward to more of their stories.

I still enjoyed the book & finished it with a week or two & I'm hoping the next book will give us more depth like we got from the first two.

I was unsure what to expect from this book. Not sure if it would be my cup of tea but as is seen Holly in Peep show in Vegas a few years ago I thought I'd give it a go.

This was a refreshing book with honest moments about heartbreak, mistakes & growing as a person. Holly's honest about her decisions from a hindsight perspective made this book honest & interesting. Despite tough times & reflecting on choices she looks for the positivity in each situation.

I loved that Holly narrated the book here's which made this more interesting & credible than I had imagined.

Definitely worth a read.

Final book - didn't disappoint.

This is probably the best book in the trilogy. Up until now we have got to know Mara & the people around her so understanding her at this level for the storyline in this book is really important. This is her toughest challenge. In fact the whole book she is faced with trials & danger yet still it was not obvious as to what would occur.

The last 1.5 hours of this book had me in a constant state of emotions with happy & sad tears so I would suggest you listen to this final portion rugged up at home rather than to & from work as I did.

Tania is a superb narrator & brought the characters to life so well. I so pleased that she was a constant throughout all 3 books.

Loved this series, it's one of the best I've ever read.

Completely addicted to these characters & this intriguing story that opens up layer by layer. This book is just as enjoyable as the first & I can't wait to get started on the third.

It was great to see a little more presence from the magicians & to see the Lady that Mara becomes as she ages through her twenties. Well written & captivating, another gem from Fiest & Wurts.

Tania narrates this book superbly & I can almost see the book as a movie as I listen. While she changes her voice for different characters, it is just slight & not ridiculous like other books I've heard.

Wow!

This is my first time reading a Feist book & boy it was a fantastic ride. The book has an eastern/oriental feel & deals in matters of honour & expectations. That being said its not boring at all.

I loved they way Feist/Wurts revealed layers & layers of the characters & you got to know them over the course of the book. It was not a predictable story line & I enjoyed every pRt of the twisting & turning tale.

The main character Mara is very likeable but not in an obvious way. The storyline & narrating was so good I could almost see it playing out I my head like a movie. Tania (the narrator) was able to make subtle changes in her voice to reflect different characters without it sounding silly. I was definitely kept completely engaged in her storytelling.

I cannot wait to start the 2nd book in this series & have already marked Feist's Magician books to read after this series.

I loved this book. It's got moving emotional sections of a woman going through a break up & laugh out loud moments. It's a funny book & being in my 30s found it completely relevant & I almost recognised some of the characters in my own life. The narrator was fantastic & she had me totally engrossed in the story. Another wonderful book by Marian Keyes.

Out of all the books this one took me the longest to get into & it took almost a quarter of the book to get there but once I did, it became a book that kept me up nights & something I would listen to every spare moment I got. Sophie Turner the female narrator also known as Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones is a fantastic narrator who brings life & soul to the characters & this final book. She is compelling & captured my imagination so I can almost see a movie running in my head as she speaks. Unfortunately I didn't feel the same way with the make narrator Jason Dohring, he just missed the mark with this book as did Ed Westwick in the previous book. Luckily the important stages including the final stages are captured by Sophie so you continue to listen. Given this is book 6, I was still really pleased with the story lines, the fact that there were still twists & turns I didn't see coming & the introduction of characters that are included in Cassandra Clare's other spin off books means I'm now keen to move to the next series & keep the world of shadow hunters going as it's such a fun book world to be part of.

I didnt see that coming!

This is the first book I've read by Gillian Flynn and boy was it a pleasant surprise... Actually more like a rollercoaster ride. Everytime I was sure of something, it was turned upside down. A great his and hers narrative but with a thousand spins.

Narrators were also great in bringing these characters to life. While listening to the book I could almost imagine it like a movie running in my head so was a fantastic experience.

This book also kept me up nights as I had to know what happened next. I generally only listen to audiobooks in the car on my work commute but this one, I was listening to on my walks and at night at home. I finished it in about 2 weeks listening every day as I was so enthralled.

Fantastic book, highly recommended!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It's so addictive. It's keeping me up I guts to see what's going to happen next.

What did you like best about this story?

Getting to know the characters better

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but I don't want to spoil it.

Any additional comments?

So I've learnt not to listen to these books on an aeroplane, one minute I'm cheering, the next I'm screaming nooooooo. Each book is just as great as the first & gets me wrapped up & living each moment with the characters. Some huge twists that I didn't see coming either!! Love getting to know each of the characters better!!! Awesome!!!
