I have enjoyed this series, especially this book and the last. The narrator does a good job and suits this series well but occasionally there is too much wet 'mouth noise'. It is one of those things where you'll hear it once and it will take you away from the story because you're now focussing on it. Well for me it did.

One of my favourite Abnett books

Well worth a listen. It has been awhile since I listened to the first Ghost's book so I was somewhat unsure if I would like this one and by feth's sake I bloody loved it. The narration by Toby Longworth was solid throughout, as always. There were so many unique moments in this book that made me not want to stop listening, I would sit in my car an extra 10 minutes finishing the scene/battle utterly enthralled. Get it, try it, love it.

I really enjoyed all the stories, of course some were better than others but none were boring for me. The shortest was roughly 1hr and the longest roughly 2hr45mins so none felt insubstantial or rushed. Every narrator did a wonderful job as always. This is a good anthology book to listen to.

Enjoyable!

Really good. The narrator did a wonderful job. I finished the whole book in 2 sittings, I just couldn't put it down.

Narration: Great. Story: Incredibly upsetting and surprisingly deep. I've never finished an audiobook so fast.

I never thought I would dislike a performance on Audible as much as this series. At first having multiple narrators performing different characters was a welcome change but for whatever reason listening to this book and the first was a practice in juggling volume levels, constantly. In most scenes the narrators will mutter a sentence or two and suddenly over pronounce/yell the next sentence and since I raised the volume on my phone or in my car I am now cringing and not enjoying myself. This continued for the entire book, no matter what was happening in the story, which I enjoyed. A shame.

Interesting and well laid out sci-fi storyline I never felt drawn out but at times it seemed rushed. Having more than one narrator was a good change for me, it really fleshed out each character, especially in the beginning chapters. One problem I had is probably one only a small percentage of listeners will encounter but while driving I had to keep the volume high to hear the narrators as they tend to mumble/speak quietly and all too frequently and loudly exaggerate a word or phrase to almost piercing volume which I never got used to. I've never had that problem with audiobooks so take that with a grain of salt.

A suicidal zombie who sucks at killing himself and has fustratingly likeable companions. This would be a good Yahtzee Croshaw book to start with if you're looking for a funny lighthearted book that isn't hard to stick with.

I'm addicted.

The narration was well done but the story had it's dull moments and cliches I found occasionally hard to overcome. The beginning was enjoyable and promised an exciting universe but began to fizzle towards the middle and end for me, that may be due to the long breaks I had while listening to the book or maybe not.
