When you think about how easy it is to lose keys, phones, sunglasses and your dignity on social media, you might figure it'd be a cinch for me to ditch my V Card. You'd be wrong. At 25, I run a successful business, live in a fantastic apartment, and have fabulous friends to go out with any night of the week. And yet I'm still a card-carrying member of a club I don't want to belong to anymore. Good thing I know just the man for the deflowering job - my brother’s business partner and best friend.

The idea that “thoughts become things” has become a meme in popular culture. It’s held as a firm proposition in metaphysics, and some spiritual teachers ascribe infinite powers to the mind. But are these claims scientifically accurate? What does the scientific evidence tell us about the scope of the human mind to transform thoughts into reality?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was so engrossed in all the characters. I couldn't bear to stop listening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Still Me?

I loved when Lou got an 'apology' from her boss and refused his employment offers.

Which character – as performed by Anna Acton – was your favourite?

Lou of course.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes absolutely. I hated having to stop listening.

Any additional comments?

I really hope they make me after you and still me into movies. I want to know which actor would play Sam.

Blending everyday experience with groundbreaking research, Ariely explains how expectations, emotions, social norms, and other invisible, seemingly illogical forces skew our reasoning abilities.

I thought the narration was fantastic.
Throughout the book there were many thought provoking moments where I paused to contemplate and times when I found myself chuckling.

There's no way I'll fall for Wyatt Hennington. He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick-up lines all to himself. I made the mistake of sleeping with him not once, but twice. I'm not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him.
