I love the pace of this book, it’s like you are there with these people and enjoying living in this pretty town too. The story line is relaxing and pleasant and just so real. This is one audiobook to listen to again and again. I also love how the loving nature of God is woven in throughout and it’s such a comfort in every way. The dog is so funny and sweet and the boy Dooley is so bright and interesting and watching his development warms my heart. The tender feelings between Tim and Cynthia are so nicely written and spoken too.

I thought this was a very sweet charming story, with the Christian theme running through it in a very natural way. The pace was slowish but I found it relaxing to listen to because of this. The narrator had a kind upbeat voice.

This is a lovely development of the Stones Ridge story line. It explains a lot of the motivations of past choices, and I loved the weaving in of people from previous books, and the wisdom pasted and still echoing in memories. The story examples how a caring God guides and brings us through hard times with grace, and the people in the book are redeemed. So heartening and encouraging. The storyline about the roses was very interesting as well. I love how this book tells a little bit more about all the characters introduced in other books, and I’m going to reread the other books in the series and the books that follow the events unfolding in Stony Ridge. The narration fits perfectly, is seamless and very relaxing to listen to. I just want to sit, relax, listen and absorb. This is a book I’ll listen to time and again.

The story line flowed gently and the people felt like friends that I got to know and like. I loved the wisdom in the thoughts expressed and seeing how God interweaves events to show His love and mercy and restoration, this mirrors what I have personally seen. The narrator had a pleasing inflection in her voice and is lovely to listen to.
