Ever since Podium signed Craig to this multi-book, churn and burn deal i feel like the quality has been going down and the stories less polished. This whole book plot would have featured as a few chapters in another book but instead it's been stretchd out over almost 20 hours with not a lot of substance, no biting your teeth nervous moments, no witty clever solutions to getting out of complex problems. It just felt like a lot of checkboxes being ticked.

I hope the series picks up and goes back to its roots, i'd rather less books released so quickly and for there to be more time and thought put into each one to make it a full complete story and not just another chapter in the series.

I loved the concept, the 2 different storylines happening side by side of humans and spiders and the struggles they both went through driven by the most basic of instincts of all living things, trying to survive.

The ending caught me by surprise and what a way to wrap up the story. Excellent book

Another great book in the series, I liked that it explored a few different storylines and characters. Gave the story more depth.

I loved the first 3 books but this was a big let down. Nothing happened, no risks, no big battle, no compelling story. Just what should have been a 1hr event dragged on for the entire length of the book with a lackluster ending. I hate being so harsh but this was the first time I considered not finishing a book and getting a refund instead.

Great wrap up of the series

Would you listen to Blackout again? Why?

I can see myself listening to the whole breakers series again at some point. I took a bit to get into it through book 1, but after book 2/3 I actually thought that was it for the series until I found all the rest of them and just binged through the remaining audibooks.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blackout?

Everything Walt does is comedy gold, he just has great comedic timing.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, its well written and has a great mix of action and comedy. The characters are lovable and the story keeps you entertained throughout

Who was your favorite character and why?

Skippy and Col Joe's interaction is hillarious. I listen on my drive to/from work and there were times I was literally laughing out loud and must have looked manical driving along like that.

What does R.C. Bray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Such a great mix of voices for the characters, had me guessing if it really was R.C. Bray doing all of them. The accent is also very different to his usual roles and he does it really well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely, could not stop listening and couldn't wait to get started on Book 2
