I loved this book from about half way through. I struggled to get a relationship with the characters initially and I felt it took a long time to get to the heart. I did love the language intertwined in the story.

I liked this book in parts. I found the constant devastation in Riversend a little over the top but overall, I enjoyed the experience!

I lost sleep over this book! I worried for the characters. I was relieved, devastated, overwhelmed and terrified. Brilliant.

A heart breaking story.

Even though I enjoyed this book overall, I struggled a little with the beginning. I did think it was quite clever but I didn't know quite how clever until the end!

I loved this book although I found the narration grating at times. The story was captivating and the fact that it was set local to me made it even better!

Loved this book. How can humans endure so much? How can humans inflict so much horror on others? This book goes some way to explain.
