I had forgotten how good this series was. This was one of the series that first introduced me to fantasy, after reading/listening to it again I can say I have a greater appreciation for how good this series really is. It is a masterpiece and I loved the depth of the story as well as the depth of the characters within it. I would Highly recommend it to anyone

Great story, though my only problem was the main character acts like a complete noob at times which throws off the authenticity of him being such a pro player before.
For example he trades the a high ground defensive position to jump into melee range when he’s playing a caster character, that makes me think the writer is a newbie rpg player

Loved the book, was well written. Lots of action and with this book more depth was added to the story, good to see this author is fleshing out the world he has created. My only problem would be the length was on the shorter side but I would still say it was worth purchasing. I look forward to the next one, he has set up nicely for it

This is one hell of a story, so much action, the world building is brilliant. The technology they use is awesome, loved the space/magic them, its a genre that I think should mix more often. If you like main characters that aren't hopeless and worthy of being the main character then you will like this book. Look forward to more books from this author, He has a new fan in me

Story
Armon Ellington died on Earth and was transported to Terra, a world governed by rules eerily similar to the RPG games he loved. He found he could gain levels, skills, abilities, and magic just like he could in those games. In addition to finding a way to become more powerful, he also found the friends and family he'd always longed for. Unfortunately, he also discovered the pain of losing them.

Lack luster and annoying

Main character is such a simpleton and all the characters lack any sort of depth and the characters that do have any personality are acting like annoying prim teenagers. Got a few hours in and couldn't bear it anymore.
